Y. AARON KAWEBLUM M.D., FAAP.

Dr. Kaweblum is a board-certified pediatrician and fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Originally from Mexico, he completed his residency in pediatrics at the National Institute of Pediatrics. In 1983, he moved with his family to the U.S.A. Due to the lack of reciprocity between the two countries, he completed a 3-year pediatric residency at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital.

In 1989, he founded BOCA DEL MAR PEDIATRIC AND ADOLESCENT CENTER. This was a dream come true for Dr. Kaweblum. Together with his wife, they created what they considered a model pediatric practice.
Dr. Kaweblum's field of expertise is pediatric asthma and allergies, nutrition, as well as, pediatric behavioral issues.

Since 1980, Dr. Kaweblum is also a certified orthodox mohel and performs circumcisions.
Dr. Kaweblum has published articles in pediatric and urological journals regarding circumcisions.
He is licensed to use local anesthesia to perform circumcisions. Several scientific studies demonstrated beyond any doubt that the baby, like any human being, experiences a great amount of pain when circumcised without local anesthesia.
Therefore, the American Academy of Pediatrics and even great Rabbis consider unacceptable to do this Surgical procedure without the use of a local anesthetic. Studies have shown that topical creams or sprays are completely useless, and some like the EMLA cream have the potential of causing serious complications.
